How to Find
the Right Personal Trainer in Orange County
Orange County is
full of personal trainers, making it difficult
to find the right Orange County personal trainer
that is going to deliver the results you want.
Sadly, most of them are not worth the money you
spend. So, let’s make sure you hire the right
personal trainer.
First, they need
to be in great shape. This is obvious. If you
are looking to hire a personal trainer and he or
she is sporting a gut, which is definitely not a
good sign. Your personal trainer should
exemplify health and fitness. They should be in
better shape then you and look like a personal
trainer.
Second, they need to be certified and
knowledgeable? There are exceptions. I have met
some phenomenal trainers who are not certified.
But, for the most part, most of your great
trainers are going to be certified and have a
great degree of health and fitness knowledge. A
great way to check on their knowledge is to ask
for references.
Third, your
personal trainer must be both positive and
supportive. If your trainer is not supportive
and does not have a positive attitude, you are
going to have a very difficult time getting
motivated and achieving results. Your trainer is
there to motivate you to push yourself beyond
what you think is possible. Your trainer is your
support system, keeping you accountable to reach
your fitness goals in specific time frames. That
is what you need.
Fourth, your
personal trainer needs to be reliable. For you
to be successful, your trainer needs to be
consistent, on time, and dependable. The key to
your success is going to be how consistent you
are and your personal trainer is the main
ingredient for that to happen. Do not settle for
less!
And fifth, your
personal trainer must know a lot about of
nutrition and how it pertains to you. Many
personal trainers know a little about nutrition,
particularly what they read in health and
fitness magazines. But, you need someone who
understands the chemical process and the
hormonal response to different foods. For most
people, nutrition is 80% of the battle for
people to lose weight and get fit. This is
crucial for your success.
