Are You Making These 5 Mistakes When Trying
To
Lose Weight
America is the fattest
country in the world and it is getting worse
every year. About 70% of the deaths in America
are diet related. And I am willing to bet that
you have been on some type of weight-loss diet
in the last 3 years or so.
Everyone is trying to lose weight and get into
shape. And today, it is tougher than ever.
People are desperate to find the end all be all
solution to weight loss. But, most people are
simply doing all the wrong things to lose weight
and get into shape.
Here are the 5 Biggest Mistakes I see people
making time and time again:
1. Doing excessive cardio to lose fat
Doing excessive cardio can actually be
counter-productive to burning fat. You may burn
some of your valuable calorie-burning muscle.
Have you gone into the gym and seen the same
people doing long sessions of cardio month after
month, and are they any leaner? Probably not.
2. Doing low-carbohydrate diets
Low-carbohydrate diets became very popular due
to the extreme weight loss. But, most of that
weight-loss was a lot of muscle. This is not the
weight you want to lose. And unfortunately, you
end up gaining more weight down the line due to
the loss of muscle tissue and decreased
metabolic rate..
3. Doing low-fat diets
Following low fat diets tends to lead people to
consuming many more carbohydrates. By doing this
your insulin levels get spiked and you start to
store more of your calories as fat.
4. Taking bogus diet pills
Most of the diet pills and supplements you see
out there do not work as they say they will. The
supplement and fitness industry is just taking
advantage of those who are desperate to lose
weight, which causes them to buy everything they
can that promises weight-loss.
5. Not lifting weights
It’s funny, even today, people don’t see the
advantage of lifting weights to burn excess body
fat. Lifting weights burns tremendous amounts of
fat by increasing your metabolism and
stimulating your body’s growth hormone, which is
a hormone that burns fat and fights the aging
process. Most people you see who eat well and
lift weights look much younger than they really
are.
Avoid these 5 pitfalls and you will see your fat
just fall off your body.
